Supplying files to Face

Some basic guidelines to help us achieve optimum quality and efficient throughput of your work. Also see the Technical Hints below where you can download detailed PDF's which you can print out and keep on fiile.

Supply PDFs in CMYK

Files should be preferably sent to us as CMYK Pass4Press PDFs (this incorporates embedded fonts and bleed) with no colour profiles attached.

Be on the safe side - Supply open files

If for any reason we need to alter any files supplied (late changes, colour correction etc), files should be created and sent to us using Quark Xpress, In-Design or Illustrator with all supporting fonts and graphics supplied.

Convert RGB to CMYK

All colours should be converted to CMYK, if RGB colours are used we will need to convert to CMYK and this could alter colours. If a particular colour needs to be achieved, please include a sample swatch. If an image is meant to colour match an existing printed sample then please include the sample.

Don't supply PDFs spreads

Documents should be made up as single pages (even double page spreads) with bleed added if necessary. If you are not supplying your files in Quark Xpress or In-design then please ensure you have put crop marks onto your document.

If you require any further advice or information then please do not hesitate to contact us.
